A little
about me.

I'm Jan Hrnek and I study mechanical design engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. Alongside school I work freelance — design, calculations and drawings for companies that need something built from scratch.

I've been around mechanical engineering for over five years, from technical secondary school through two internships at Voith Turbo to the jobs I now run on my own. What I like most are projects where mechanics meets electronics and code — that's where you learn the most, because no part of it can be fudged.

When I'm not modelling, you'll find me playing volleyball, at the computer or travelling. And every so often I build myself a tool — an app for invoicing and part numbering, because doing it by hand annoyed me.
